Colonel Edward Spencer, 61, of 2415 Gulf Beach Highway, died at a hospital Monday morning.
Mr Spencer was a native of Mississippi, but had resided in Pensacola for the past six years. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry W Spencer of Pensacola and Perry E Spencer of Tupelo, Miss; three daughters, Brenda Waters of Memphis, Tenn, and Sandra Sclease and Judy Clark, both of Pensacola; four sisters, Polly Bowen, Mamie B Schumpert, Kathrine Payne and Ruth Spencer, all of Memphis.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday in the chapel of Reynolds-Grafton Funeral Home in Memphis. The body will be sent there Tuesday morning.
Burial will be at Potts Camp Cemetery in Memphis. [Correction, Mississippi.]
