Doris Lou Redd Allen, of Pima, entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 1, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 94.

Doris was born in Douglas, Arizona on May 29, 1927, to Kenneth Taylor Redd and Rella Cluff. She is the second child of four, having one older brother, LaRay, and two younger sisters, Nora and Carole. She grew up in Arizona and the Mormon Colonies in Mexico. It was while living in Arizona that she met her future husband, Arden Allen, and they were married when she was only 16 years old. It was during WWII that Arden, 18 years old, joined the Navy and they moved to Florida. Arden's work (brick mason and construction) took him to several western states, including Alaska, so they were able to travel quite a bit. Doris really enjoyed camping, reading, playing cards, church activities and being with her family and good friends. They were finally able to retire back to their home town of Pima, Arizona and enjoyed being back home.

Doris and Arden had been married for 75 years when Arden passed away in 2019. At that point, she started declining and passed away on July 1, 2021 at her home in Pima. Both Arden and Doris are buried in the Pima Cemetery.

Doris is survived by: their five children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and two sisters.

Funeral services for Doris will be conducted Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., at the Pima Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Than Ashby of the Pima 3rd Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Pima Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, July 9, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Vining Funeral Home and Saturday morning, July 10, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m., in the Pima Stake Center Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
