Aida Walicki (Edie), nee; Aida Capobianco born in Sturno Italy, October 20, 1939, surrendered her soul peacefully to God on June 12, 2021, at Gulfside Hospice, New Port Richey Florida surrounded by her loving family. Aida was the daughter of Vincenzo Luigi Capobianco (deceased) and Maria Caterina Cipriano Capobianco (deceased). She was the beloved wife of Peter Walicki (deceased) and proud mother of Harry Lambertson (Cynthia) Alexandria, Virginia; Donna Byrd (Michael) Bonita Springs, Florida; Mario DiTroia (Stephanie), Tampa, Florida. Aida immigrated to the United States on the Andrea Doria, arriving at Ellis Island, New York at the age of 16 on February 25th, 1954. She had a large family of 10 siblings, many of whom she joins who are deceased. Maria Capobianco Cerullo (Giuseppe) (both deceased), Glen Cove New York; Angelo Michelle Capobianco (Giuseppina) (both deceased), Glen Cove New York; Dante Tommaso Capobianco (Maria) (both deceased), Glen Cove New York; Fernando Capobianco (deceased) (Thomasina), Venice, Florida; Carmella Capobianco (deceased)(Angelo), Glen Cove New York; Armand Capobianco (Suzanne), Greer, South Carolina; Donato Capobianco (Camille) (both deceased), Glen Cove, New York; Giuseppe Capobianco (deceased in infancy) and Joseph Capobianco (Debbie) Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Aida loved to reminisce about her younger years growing up in Italy in the "Old Country" as it was through hard work and determination, she carved a meaningful life and overcame many obstacles and shortcomings to provide for her family. Aida worked as a seamstress making beautiful gowns in the 70's. Later in life she obtained her high school diploma and became a certified nursing assistant. In her spare time, Aida along with her loving husband Peter shared a passion for square dancing and loved to travel. Aida is survived by 8 grandchildren Michael Johnson (Karen) (Green Cove Springs, Florida); Ashley Johnson (Brooklyn, New York); Jennifer Lambertson (Alexandria, Virginia); Stephanie Lambertson (Alexandria Virginia) Rebekah Lambertson (Alexandria, Virginia) David Lambertson (Alexandria, Virginia); Joseph DiTroia (Tampa, Florida) and Nicholas DiTroia (Tampa, Florida); 3 great- grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. For those of us whose lives she touched, we grieve her loss; however, we remember the times we shared with her. In our hearts, we are assured that God has welcomed Aida into heaven as a faithful servant. Eternally may she rest, as she joins those she loved and lost. Memorial services and Celebration of Life will be on Monday, June 21 at 10 am at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr. Trinity, FL 34655. Trinity FH
