F. Broadfield Is Dead at 82

Frank Broadfield, 82, died at 1:30 p. m Thursday at his home in West Point. He had been in failing health for the past year.

The deceased was born Dec. 6, 1873, at Williamsfield, Ill. He had been a resident of West Point since 1914. On Oct. 25, 1898, at Ottumwa, he married Bessie Houdyshell, who survives. He was a member of the Denmark Congregational church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Edward Broadfield, Denmark; two daughters, Mrs. Steve (Marian) Denning and Mrs. Joe (Maxine) Otte, both of Denmark; four brothers, Will, John, Lyman and George, all of Williamsfield, Ill; two sisters, Ada and Nellie Broadfield both of Phoenix, Ariz. Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one grandchild.

The body is at Nieters Chapel here where final rites will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. E. D. Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
