AGE 54 years 2 months 20 days - Ellen died at Ridgeville which was also her residence. She died from rheumatism. Ellen was one of the 13 children of Thomas Jarman and Sarah Susanna Elton Jarman who died in England at the age of 51. Ellen's parents were Baptists; her father was a great Bible student. Ellen's father, Thomas Jarman, was a hard-working man but was the owner of unproductive farming property. His sons Nathan and Benjamin decided to come to America to seek their fortune. They immigrated in 1856 and saved their money which they sent to their father. Thomas Jarman and the rest of his children came to America in 1858. Ellen Jarman was married ln England to Caleb Buswell. Ellen and Caleb immigrated to the U.S.A. arriving on 08 May 1858 on the ship named Isarel Webb from Liverpool, England with three children John, Rachel and Charles. They were parents of ten known children: John, Rachael, Charles, Sarah, Harriet, Nathan, Arthur, Esther, Mary, and Benjamin. Her father, Thomas Jarman, was also on that ship with her siblings Alice 24, Allen 18, Sarah 15, Harriett 13, Emma 11, and Mary Ann 6, Charlotte Maddock 22 with husband Charles Maddock 26 and infant son John. Her brothers, Ben Jarman age 21 and Nathan Jarman age 14, came on 03 May 1856 on the ship City of Moblie also with Charles Buswell age 37, Ann age 33 and Joseph age 9, Daniel age 6, Elizabeth age 4.
