Ray Oliver, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 17, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 14, 1937 in Pleasant View, Tennessee to Charlie and Susie (Bennett) Oliver.

Ray was a loving husband, dad, pawpaw, and friend to all. He was the retired owner of Bennie's First and Last Chance. He was a former coach and later president at Valley Village Little League. He was also a former coach for Valley Olympics Youth Football and an avid NASCAR fan. After retirement he delivered bait and tackle for Pepper Bait and Tackle Shop. He will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Oliver and mother, Susie Oliver; wife, Joyce Oliver; sons, Bobby Roberts, James Oliver, and Dwayne Oliver.

Ray is survived by his loving family, sons, Charles Oliver, Jr. and Roger Oliver; 11 Grandchildren; 23 Great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy (Shirley) Oliver; Companion, Bonnie Miller. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:30 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery - Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
