Tennessee historian Zella Armstrong stated that he was the younger of the two youngest volunteer soldiers in the Battle of King's Mountain, Gov. John Sevier's son James being the other, and was one of five brothers in the battle (Notable Southern Families by Zella Armstrong, volume 1, pages 109, 188. 192).
Married in Wilkes County, North Carolina 1786 to Lydia Barnes.
They went to Kentucky briefly and then back to North Carolina and Tennessee. He is said to have died in Dekalb County, Tennessee, gravesite lost.
A memorial page someone else created for him was removed from FindaGrave, so I am replacing it with this one.
