Helen C. Lee, 89, passed away June 17, 2021 in Yuma, AZ with family by her side. Helen will always be remembered for her love and kindness; she touched the hearts of everyone she met.
Helen was born on July 7, 1931 in San Antonio, TX. She enjoyed a successful career as a banker and retired as an Operations Officer with First Interstate Bank. Over the years Helen was a member of Soroptimist Intl., FOE Auxiliary, NABW, AIB, and the Women's American Bowling Congress. Helen was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Helen had many hobbies over the years quilting, sewing, scrapbooking, cake decorating, bowling, playing cards, reading, bingo, going to the casino, and traveling.
Helen married Dan Gloria in 1949 and together they had five children. She remarried Robert Bob Lee in 1969 and gained three bonus children. Helen and Bob spent over 52 years together. In their younger years they enjoyed camping, fishing, and bowling. In retirement they loved to spend their time in Baja Mexico, visit the casinos in Laughlin, go on cruises, and spend time with their family and friends.
Helen is survived by her husband Bob. Her sister Ernie. Her children Ruth, Lolly (Ron), Daniel, Sylvia (David), James, Robert (Stephanie), Cindy (David), and Sandy. Her Grandchildren Teresa, Stephanie, Gloria, Maile, Cassidy, Jacob, Lindsay, Lauren, Samantha, Christina, and Jordan. Her great-grandchildren Amanda, Colton, Angelita, Wyatt, Riley, Luke, Abigail, Rachel, Elizabeth, Dylan, Kaleb, Stone, and Emme. Her great-great grandchildren Lyle and Reina as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe and Reyes, her Aunt Josie and Uncle Alonso, her sister Angie, and her Mother-in-law Margaret.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Gloria, James Gloria, Robert Lee, Ron Romano, David Smith, David Cabrales, Jacob Gloria, and Jason Helton.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 with Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 am followed by a Memorial Service at All Saints Memorial Chapel, 170 E 17th Place from 12:00 - 3:00 pm.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Yuma or the Relay For Life in lieu of flowers.
