Jo Ann ``Jo' Davenport, age 65, of Austin passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Tuesday, July 13, 2004. Jo was a faithful employee of Austin Heart Hospital and was an inspiration to all who knew her. Jo was a mother, grandmother, sister and a friend who had a deep Christian faith and who inspired and cared for all people around her. She is survived by her three children, Cindy Janca and husband James, Mike Davenport and wife Pam, and Jill Russell and her husband Jeremy; five grandchildren, Taylor, Chandler, Payne, Clayton and Nathan; her sister, Norma Leggitt and husband Don; two brothers, Garland Byrd and wife Barbara and Gary Beck; and other family members. The family wishes to thank Becca Cappel, the Visiting Angels and all of our mother's friends who gave continuing support and love during her short illness. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 15th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2004, at Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd. with Rev. Brent Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
