Elizabeth (Betty) Louise Adkins Taylor, 91, a retired Associate Professor in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky died September 16, 2020 at Wesley Village in Wilmore, KY. Born June 17, 1929, in Williamsburg, Whitley, KY, she was the daughter of the late Everett Thomas and Lillie (White) Adkins. She was the wife of the late James Clyde Taylor (Lexington) whom she was married to for 53 years. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and husband, by her son, James (Jim) Clyde Taylor II; two sisters, Lucille Viator and Chestine Adkins and one brother, Everett Thomas (Tom) Adkins, JR. She is survived by one daughter, two grandchildren, one sister and one brother as well as many loving extended family members.
