FISHKILL PLAINS, July 20 — An illness of three weeks proved fatal yesterday to Mrs. Maud Giddings Van Vlack, 58, in the Highland Hospital, Beacon, wife of Jacob Van Vlack.

She was born in the town of La­ Grange, a daughter of Luther and Lucy Green Giddings, and had re­sided all her life in this vicinity.

She was married Nov .20, 1901 in Arthursburg to Mr. Van Vlack. She was a member of the New Hacken­sack Reformed Church, the Kings Daughters of the church and of Mt. Hope grange.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Clarence A. Linson, of Hopewell Junction; and five sisters, Mrs. Wallace Cummings, of Springfield, Mass., Mrs. Mamie Gary of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Caro­line Campbell, of New Milford, Conn., Mrs. Edward Burns, of Poughkeepsie and Mrs. Daniel Cot­ton of Iselin, N.J.

Funeral services will be held at the Hignell Funeral parlors in Beacon at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Herge, pastor of the Fishkill church, offi­ciating. Burial will be in the Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
