Braddock Beasley was the son of Isham Beasley and Mary Jane Andrews (she went by Polly). Braddock's parents settled in present-day Graveltown, Smith County, Tennessee after moving from North Carolina and settling in the newly established state of Tennessee. During this time in American history, the United States government pushed for people to settle the western frontier, causing some of the Beasley family to move out west into Calloway County, Missouri, USA. Although there's no proof Braddock specifically lived in Missouri, his grandson Jesse Beasley (1841-1920) claimed to be born in Missouri as also his son Isham Beasley (1825-1887). Legend goes that Braddock settled Calloway County (most likely where his son Isham was born) and left Smith County out of a dispute with his father-in-law John Ferguson over land. Braddock only lived in Calloway County, MO as long as possibly 1824 till he sold the land in Missouri in 1826 and headed back to Smith County, Tennessee where he was a defendant in a previous land lawsuit filed against the man, he sold it too. Braddock & Sarah had roughly six kids, those being Calvin, Betsey, Mary A., Isham, Jesse & Sarah Beasley (Isham being born in Missouri & the rest being born in Smith Co, TN) with all of them spreading the rest of the Beasley descendants all over the Country. Braddock died around May of 1857 according to his will and passed over the family farm to his oldest son Calvin (much to the dismay of the rest of the family later on during the Civil War). He was possibly buried in the Isham Beasley Cemetery where his dad in buried but he could have been buried in the Beasley Cemetery in Pleasant Shade, TN where some of his sons and grandkids are buried.

Braddock married Sarah "Sally" Ferguson (d/o John Ferguson & Frances Lucas). It's not known when or where they were married however it was most likely in the mid-late 1810's in Graveltown, TN. An interesting fact, there might have been some tension between Braddock and his father Isham over land and he was never given any portion of it in the will.

All of this information was collected by various descendants of Braddock, in which some still live in or around the counties Isham settled.
