Last Thursday, our beloved dog, Jose', passed away and we buried him on the hill above the house. He always wanted to lay where he could keep an eye on us. Jose' was born in south Florida, but totally adapted to his northern home after he managed to get kicked out of the circus in his early 20s, (dog years). He had no idea then that he was just going to work in a different circus, with a different set of clowns. He brought a lot of joy, smiles, and laughter to everyone from adults to children while working daily at Silver Threads and the Tomahawk Surplus Store. He retired, again, when Silver Threads closed last Fall and enjoyed his final days relaxing at his Irma estate. Often, people commented on what a sweetheart he was, and many thought of him as an old soul. We had 10 wonderful years together. He was a great traveler and hiked and explored all over this country with us. Jose' was about 95 dog years. He had a great run, was a truly devoted companion, and he will be missed.
