Mrs. Effie Burns, age 84, 118 North Green Street, Brownsburg, died May 19, in the Hendricks County Hospital soon after admittance.
A native of Indiana, she was the widow of Tom Burns who preceded her many years ago.
She was a member of the Brownsburg Christian Church. Last rites were conducted, Thursday afternoon, from the Jones & Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. The Rev. Joe Wilson of the Christian Church, there, officiated. Burial was in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
Survivors include 10 children, Laurel, Lewis, LeRoy, Norman, Glen, Edward and Raymond Burns, all of Brownsburg; William Burns, Lizton; Mrs. Catherine Acton, Stilesville; and Mrs. Regina Parsons, Speedway; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
