With her are her children Albert L (ae 45, b Jan 1855, married for 12 years - but no spouse listed - works in a stove mill), daughter Emma L (born July 1860, single, dressmaker), Florence M (ae 30, born April 1870, salesman in dry goods), John S (ae 23, born Dec 1876, clothes sales) and divorced daughter Jennie L Raye (ae 35, b Sept 1864, "widowed", having had 1 child who is still alive for the census.) Her daughter Bessie Raye is with her, abbe 16, born July 1883.

In 1920, 84-year-old widow Caroline Payson is in Thomaston on Beechwood Road. With her is her 65-year-old son, "single", who is a retired farmer. Also with them is her Hannah Lermond, ae 78, widow.
