Mrs. Mary May Passes Away in Port Lavaca

Funeral Wednesday Morning
Relatives and old friends of the family received the sad news Tuesday morning of the death of Mrs. Mary May who passed away at the home of her son W. G. May in Port Lavaca at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning.
Her death was not unexpected as her condition was critical for the past few days, her condition growing weak for several weeks.
Mrs. May was 79 years, 7 months and 16 days of age.
Surviving her are her four children two sons, A. H. May, Olney, Tex; W. G. May, Port Lavaca; Mrs. Bettie Tubbs, San Antonio; and Mrs. Geo. Cooper, Goose Creek; sixteen grandchildren.
Mrs. May resided in Wrightsboro for many years, leaving there in 1902 after the death of her husband.
The remains accompanied by relatives and friends arrived in Wrightsboro Tuesday night and were laid to rest in the Wrightsboro cemetery Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. D. Johns, pastor of the Wrightsboro Presbyterian church.
Many old friends of this section were grieved to hear of her death and offer sympathy to the family in their loss.
