ILLINER -- Dale Riley, 68, Wyandotte OK, passed away Friday, March 10, 2006. Dale was born February 2, 1938, in Wyandotte, to Riley and Gladys Brown Dilliner. He was a graduate of Wyandotte High School. He was united in marriage to Patricia Carol Daugherty in 1961. They later divorced. Dale was a member of the Seneca Cayuga Tribe and had previously served on the Tribal Business Committee. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956-1959 and was an Atomic Test Veteran in Nevada during that time. He was a retired Meat Cutter and Business Representative for UFCW Local 340. Those who spent time with Dale most likely gained a significant amount of knowledge from his wisdom. He was an avid fisherman, spent hours reading, and loved watching sports. Surviving family members include his son, John Mark Dilliner and wife, Kathy of Joplin, MO; daughter, Julie "Missy" Gay and husband, Tom of Claremore, OK; 5 sisters, Lois Johnson of Wyandotte, Phyllis Postoak of Jay, OK, Julie Dilliner of Wyandotte, Joyce Passeau of Peculiar, MO, Janice Quick of Wyandotte; brother, Jerry Dilliner of Wyandotte; grandchildren, Tara Murray of Miami, OK, Heather Wofford of Claremore, Whitney Wofford of Stillwater, OK, Riley and Rhett Gay of Claremore; great-grandchildren, Kaston Campbell of Claremore and Makenna Murray of Miami. He was preceded in death by: his father and mother, Riley and Gladys Dilliner; his first wife, Patricia Carol Dilliner; brothers, James Dilliner and David Dilliner; sister, Monte Rae Dilliner. At his request, and so another life may be saved, he donated his body to the University of Kansas Medical Center under the Willed Body Program. He had always expressed the importance of this decision to his children. A Memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2006 at his home.
