At his residence on Mill Creek in this county on Tuesday, September 5, 1871, Benjamin Gullion Sr, in the 75th year of his age. He was born in Frankfort, KY., and came to what is now Carroll County about the year 1797. He was a well known and highly esteemed citizen and many relatives and friends mourn his departure, which tho occasioned by disease, a cancer of 5 years standing, in the course of nature could not have been delayed much longer. His brother George P Gullion Sr. died on the same day of the same month just 10 years previous, September 5, 1861.
