Mrs. Mary Sims Moses, 81, wife of Robert Moses, chairman of the Triborough - Bridge and Tunnel Authority died yesterday at her home, 28 Thompson Ave., Babylon, L.I..
Although the wife for 51 years of a public figure, Mrs. Moses remained in the background. She was born in Dodgeville, Wis.
She came East and met Moses when he, went to work in the Budget Bureau here.
She was secretary to his boss, the director of the bureau, F. A. Cleveland.
They were married in Philadelphia on Aug. 15, 1915.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard J. Olds of New York, and Mrs. Jane Moses Collins of Babylon, L.I.; five grandchildren, one great - grandchild, two sisters and a brother.
Services for Mrs. Moses will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 500 South Country Road, Bay Shore, L.I.

Wife of Robert Moses Dies
Babylon — Mary Sims Moses wife of Robert Moses died today at her borne at 28 Thompson Ave at the age of 80.
Her husband, architect of the Long Island state park system was head of numerous state agencies and authorities until he quit in 1962 after a fallout with Gov. Rockefeller.
His only official post at present is chairman of the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority and is still president of the 1964-65 World's Fair Corp.
He also is a columnist for Newsday's weekly magazine Weekend With Newsday.
Mrs. Moses was born in Dodgeville, Wis., the daughter of Elizabeth and Thomas Sims.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters Mrs. Richard Olds of New York City and Mrs. Jane Collins of Babylon, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Emily Marconnier and Jane Murrish of Dodgeville, Wis. and a brother Thomas Sims of Miami.
Funeral services will he held Thursday at 11 A.M. at St Peter's Episcopal Church at 500 S. Country Rd. Bay Shore.
Burial arrangements were incomplete today
