W. Pearl Riebel, 81, retired RN, died Nov. 23, 2006 after a short illness.


Viewing Noon-6pm and rosary 6pm, Sunday, DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, 263-0245. Funeral 2pm, Monday, Nov 27, All Saints Catholic Church.


Survived by husband, Paul; daughter Phyllis and Larry James; granddaughter, Nicki Jo and Phillip Slater; grandson Andrew James; great grandson, Aaron Slater; nephew Marc Haughton and family.


She will be remembered by her many friends. Pearl graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing and was a public health nurse with the Sedgwick Co. Health Dept. for many years. This experience served her well as the Registered Nurse at Crossroads Developmental Disabilities Center, a former program of the Association for Retarded Citizens.


Pearl helped established nursing services at Starkey, Inc. where she was employed until her retirement. She was a caring and compassionate nurse to the clients at Starkey. She remained a devoted friend to many of the individuals she served and their families.


In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the Am. Cancer Society, 400 N. Broadway, Wichita, 67202; the ARC, 2919 W. 2nd, Wichita, 67203; and Starkey Inc., 4500 W. Maple, Wichita, 67209.
