Funeral services for William Leroy Mills, 91, were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home.

Dr. J. Henry Teele officiated. Mrs. Floyd Scott was the organist and Mrs. Jessie Davis the vocalist.

William Leroy was born 24 June 1880 to Van and Eunice Foster Mills in Muscatine County, Iowa. He married Nora Knott on Feb. 7, 1906 in Muscatine. William died Wednesday night, Sept. 22, 1971, at Muscatine General Hospital.

Pallbearers were Charles Staley, Lewis Staley, George Rick, Edward Rick, Glen Stuart and Frank Mills.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Merlin and Hilbert of Davenport and Ralph of Ghenn, Minnesota; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Holmes of Pine River, Minnesota; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nine sisters & brothers.

Burial was at the Nichols cemetery.
