OBITUARY:
SMART, PAULINE AGNES , Funeral Services for Pauline Agnes (Epp) Smart, age 87, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at the Mennonite Brethren Church of Fairview. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery west of Fairview. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Fairview
Funeral Home Inc.

Pauline was born November 14, 1919, southeast of Fairview, Oklahoma, to Peter and Katherine (Funk) Epp and died Sunday, November 4, 2007, at Fairview Regional Medical Center in Fairview. Pauline attended Progressive School. After finishing school, she and her brother went to work on the family farm. She also worked at a cafe in Fairview, where she met Roscoe Elbert Smart. Pauline and Roscoe were
married June 17, 1947 in Wellington, Kansas. After they were married, they lived in Wellington. While living there, they were blessed with two lovely daughters,
Sherryl and Diana. The family then moved to Attica, Kansas and Pauline and Roscoe were blessed with a son, William. As the family moved again, with Roscoe's work on the railroad, they arrived in Fairview. A few years later
Pauline and Roscoe welcomed a second son, Mark.

Pauline was a homemaker and kept very busy with four children. She was baptized in 1938 and after moving to Fairview became a member of the Mennonite Brethren
Church. Pauline was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matrons, was active in the Meals on Wheels program, belonged to the Fairview Betterment Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. Pauline dedicated her life to her family.

She is survived by her four children, Sherryl Ann Plank and husband Daniel of Enid, Diana Lynn Zoth of Dallas, Texas, William Wade Smart of Enid, Mark Wayne Smart and wife Cassandra of Fairview; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roscoe and 17 siblings. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or Hospice Circle of Love with Fairview
