Idonna Dorene Baron, age 86, of Ammon, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Gables of Ammon.
Idonna was born January 17, 1935 in Ashton, Idaho a daughter to William Delbert Grover and Ivy May Barnard. She attended schools in Rigby and earned her GED in 1968. She married Orland Hunt Baron, December 2, 1952 in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Throughout her life she worked at Falls Valley School Kitchen and most importantly as a mother. She lived in Lincoln, Rigby, Enumclaw, Washington and Ammon. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the Relief Society, primary, compassionate service leader and in the stake primary. She enjoyed sewing, flower arrangements, reading, crocheting, painting and gardening.
She is survived by daughters: Roxana Hale of Rigby, Peggy (Dave) Baldwin of Kent, Washington, Julene (Kurt) Lindstrom of Enumclaw, Washington, Sherry (Van) Arnold of Idaho Falls and Shannon (Cory) Jenkins of Ammon, sons: O. Reed (Cindy) Baron of West Valley, Utah, V. Russell (Wendy) Baron of Pocatello, Kirt (Trisa) Baron of Ammon, Norman (Rebecca) Baron of Orem, Utah, Darrin (Mindy) Baron of San Antonio, Texas, Lyndon (Tiffany) Baron of Bonny Lake, Washington, and Justin (Sherri) Baron of Shelley, 95 grandchildren, 102 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, five sisters, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter and one son-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ammon Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (4363 East 17th Street, Ammon, Idaho 83406). The family will visit with friends Tuesday at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel Rigby, Idaho.
