Jennie Lee Wilkinson McNeil
1936 - 2021

Early Life: Jennie Lee was born July 23, 1936, to Dick W. and Arlene "Berniece" Backus Wilkinson. She grew up in Orem, Utah, and attended school in Lindon and Pleasant Grove. Jennie Lee was a cheerleader at Pleasant Grove High School where she formed many lifelong friendships and met the love of her life.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On July 16, 1953, Jennie Lee married Leon McNeil in the Manti Utah Temple and have been inseparable ever since. When they were newly married, they were members of the Orem Riding Club where they enjoyed Friday nights with friends and were also lifelong avid Utah Jazz fans, rarely missing a televised game. They have enjoyed many, many years of traveling to Arizona to spend time with family and to watch their children and grandchildren in all kinds of sports, from baseball, basketball, wrestling, and many dance recitals, including clogging.
❦ Jennie Lee was a "stay at home mother" until her children were out of school, then she worked at Gas-N-Go in Orem, Utah, for 15 years, where she made many friendships that have lasted her lifetime. Anyone who knew her knew they had a friend for life. Her greatest joy was spending every moment possible with her family, and she was proud of all their accomplishments.
❦ Jennie Lee will always be remembered for her devoted love and compassion, for helping people, and being there in times of need. She faithfully loves her Father in Heaven and remains committed and loyal to her covenants she made with Him.
❦ After living in their Orem home for 54 years, they decided to downsize and enjoy their golden years in Springville, Utah, and have been there for the past 13 years where they made many more dear friends. Beloved Jennie Lee Wilkinson McNeil passed away May 14, 2021, surrounded by her devoted husband and family at their home in Springville, Utah. She was 84.
