Doris Louise Beahm True, 89, widow of William John True, Jr. of Mill Creek Lane, Staunton passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Mrs. True was born in Washington, D.C. on September 14, 1931, the daughter of the late Ralph Emerson and Edith Mae (Swartz) Beahm. Doris was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, the Virginia Native Plant Society, Flairs and Squares Square Dance Club, and a former volunteer for the Hospice of the Shenandoah. Doris enjoyed hiking, gardening, planting and watching the flowers grow. Surviving are two sons, John Edward "Jack" True and his wife Wanda of Staunton and Michael Alan "Mike" True and his fiancée Susan Painter of Verona; two daughters, Jean T. Stephens of Staunton and Carolyn T. Strand and her husband Scott of Culpeper; a brother, James E. Beahm of Verona; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Augusta Health Foundation, c/o Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 1000, Fishersville, Virginia 22939 or the Bethel Presbyterian Church, 463 Bethel Green Road, Staunton, Virginia 24401. Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
