On Saturday, December 19, 2020, Minnie R. Morris, a loving mother, and grandmother, passed away at 93.

Minnie was born on November 4th, 1927, in Decatur, Texas, to Annie(Lynn) and William Avery Rasbury.

She graduated from Decatur High School. Married David Louis Locke on March 4th, 1945. They raised two children, Brenda Hord, and David Locke. She was a medical secretary for 15 plus years. She retired from General Dynamics in 1992, where she was the first female supervisor in the history of 1976.

Minnie had a passion for gardening, interior design, sewing, and wedding planning. She attended beauty school and was a member of the Eastern Star in Haltom City. She truly always had the most beautiful yard and keen sense of style. She leads mini-seminars about her expertise in electrical and electronics at General Dynamics.

Minnie was preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Annie Rasbury. First husband David Louis Locke and second husband (Jack) Clyde Morris. Her two children David Lee Locke and Brenda Lynn Hord. Four siblings Bernice Rasbury, Lester Rasbury, Gwin Rasbury, and Ruth Schmidt. Her grandchildren Sammi Hord, David Locke, Roy Avery Hord. Also, her great-granddaughter Morgan Hord. She is survived by her sister, Alma Jean Walker, son-in-law Roy G. Hord and grandchildren Rei Lynn White, Randi Castillo, Michael Locke, and Mason Locke. Along with many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Home provides services. Graveside service will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034, on January 15, 2021, at 3 pm.
