NEW YORK Frank Wilentz, 690 Fort Washington Ave., died yesterday in Mt. Sinai Hospital here after a brief illness. He was born in Russia, and formerly lived in Perth Amboy, N.J., moving here 25 years ago. He was a retired tobacco merchant and managed extensive real estate holdings in New York and New Jersey.
He was a member of Congregation Shaarey Tefiloh, Perth Amboy.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Miller of Perth Amboy and Mrs. Jennie Snapper (Snaper)and Mrs. Aida Trynin, both of New York City; and two brothers, David T. Wilentz, national Democratic committeeman and former state attorney general, and Dr. William C. Wilentz, medical examiner for Middlesex County, N.J., both of Perth Amboy.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy.
Interment will be in Shaarey Tefiloh Cemetery, Perth Amboy.

PERTH AMBOY (AP) Funeral services were held yesterday for Frank Wilentz, brother of former state Attorney General David T. Wilentz and Dr. William C. Wilentz, Middlesex County medical examiner.
Frank Wilentz died Tuesday in Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York, His age was unavailable.
He had extensive real estate holdings, was a retired tobacco merchant and lived in New York at 690 Fort Washington Ave.
