Dorothy Bradshaw Guffie, 88, of Gastonia, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at her residence.
She was born on February 22, 1933, in Georgia, to the late Cuba and Inas Bradshaw.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Sanford Guffie.
Left to cherish Dorothy's memories are her children, Dennis Guffie, Larry Guffie, Bonnie Chapman, and Patricia Holbrook; sister, Kathleen Anderson; grandchildren, Dorothy Roussard, Bucky Weathers, and Daniel Guffey; and great-grandchildren, Trent, Jantzen, and Jake Weathers.
A funeral service office, officiated by Pastor Johnny Yarboro, will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC, 28052. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment to follow the service at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Holly, NC. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.
