RUTH V. MERKLE (Age 87) Of Solomons, MD passed away on October 31, 2007 in Solomons Nursing Center. Beloved wife of 68 years of the late Paul P. Merkle; mother of Paul P. Merkle, Jr. and Robert W. Merkle; grandmother of Kevin, Robert, Jennifer Merkle, Karen Murphy, Colleen Fox, Susan and Karen Penn; great-grandmother of Christopher and Matthew Fox, Claire Murphy and Nicole Merkle. She is also survived by a brother, John Milburn and a sister, June Windsor. Predeceased by brothers, Maurice and Walter Milburn. The family will receive friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD on Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
