WILTON TRIGG
OLD RESIDENT OF CAIRO DIES

Wilton Trigg, old resident of Cairo, and a veteran of the civil war, passed away at 1 o'clock today at his home, corner of Washington avenue and Third street. He had been sick for just a month.

Mr. Trigg was a native of Newcastle, Ky., where he was born on June 24, 1843. He served in the Fourth Ohio cavalry for three years in the War of the Rebellion, after which he settled in Cairo, and has lived here 47 years continuously.

Surviving him are his widow and one daughter, Mrs. F. P. Fawkner, and a sister, Mrs. Annie Jacobs of Cleveland, Miss., who arrived last night.

Mr. Trigg was a member of the First M.E. church. Funeral services have not yet been arranged but will be from the family residence.

Mr. Trigg owned quite extensive real estate holdings in Cairo and for a number of years has devoted his time to looking after his property.

Funeral Services of Wilton Trigg Today

Funeral services of the late Wilton Trigg, old resident of Cairo and civil war veteran, who died Saturday at his home, 215 Washington avenue, were held at the residence this afternoon at 1:45 o'clock. Rev. John W. Coontz of the First Methodist church officiating. The funeral party was taken by special interurban train at 2:30 to Beech Grove cemetery, where interment was made.

The active pall bearers - James Kuykendall, A.P. Rigsby, John Messenger, Phil Barclay, H.R. Althorp, William S. Dewey, P.T. Langan and H. M. Hill. The honorary pallbearers follow: J. F. Rector, Fred Teichman, M. J. Howley and Peter Saup.
