Myrtle LaWen Allsop Egbert returned home on May 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family in her home in Sandy, Utah. LaWen was born May 1, 1937 to John Reuel & Addrean Hunstman Tait Allsop. She married her childhood sweetheart, Gail Donald Egbert September 14, 1955. LaWen adored Gail and they were truly soulmates. He fondly referred to her as his "little dove". They had 5 children (Deborah, Christine, Donald, Lynette, Michelle), 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Together, LaWen and Gail raised three generations of children. Their unwavering and unconditional love along with their spirit of service have been an example to everyone that has been privileged to know them.

LaWen is the most beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great grandmother sister and friend. As a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she has lived her whole life as an example of what it truly means to be Christ-like. She is the most remarkable angel and has taught her family to love unconditionally and to keep a grateful heart; always saying "everything is good" and keeping a beautiful, bright smile even through her hardest challenges. Her love and smile have been a bright ray of sunshine to us all.

LaWen will be deeply missed and we excitedly await the day we will get to see her again.
