Mary Lou Allsop Ipson passed from mortality on November 28, 2016. Through many trials and burdens, Mary was sanctified and purified while faithfully enduring to the end of her life's mission.

She was born November 23, 1934 in St. George to John Reuel Allsop and Adrean Huntsman Tait. She was the third out of seven children. Her siblings are Ruemola, Leon, Lawen, Virginia, Joe, and Linda. Mary graduated from Jordan High School in 1954.

She married Joseph Dennis Ipson, Sr., on May 28, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. She met Dennis while she was in high school working at the Frostop fast food diner. It was love at first sight.

Mary's favorite places to go were Moon Lake and to her sister Ruemola's cabin to enjoy the great outdoors and view God's creations. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, bird watching, gardening, and making ceramics.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She served faithfully in her church and completed many church callings. She had six children and fostered one.

Mary is survived by her siblings, Leon, LaWen, and Linda; children and their spouses, Dennis and Maxine Ipson, Justin and Sherri Jones, Kenneth and Marilyn Law, Bill and Abeth Ipson, Myron and Lori Vawdrey, Michael and Shannon Ipson, and Renson Marroquin; twenty-five grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dennis Ipson, Sr.; and siblings, Ruemola, Virginia, and Joe. Dennis and Mary's greatest hopes and desires extend beyond this life of having their family bound together throughout the eternities.
