John T. Lamerson, 73, died Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 2, 1944, at his home on the Vliettown-Pottersville road following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Lamerson, who operated a farm, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick X. (sic) K. Lamerson of Bedminster Township.

Mr. Lamerson is survived by his widow, three brothers and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Mellick (sic) Melick of Somerville.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 5, at 2 p. m. in the Daniel J. Coughlin and Son Funeral Home in Califon. Rev. Roorda, pastor of the Pottersville Reformed Church, officiated.

Interment was in the Pottersville Cemetery.

His obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat, Feb. 10, 1944.

His obit has no mention of his son Alvah, probably because Alvah converted to Catholicism when he married, and moved to NY.
