13 January 1843 --- 1 March 1908
Wm. Dayton, who was an inmate of the county poor farm for a number of years, died at the hospital at Cherokee the first of the week. "Bill," as he was generally known, has been the subject of much pity from visitors at the poor farm, and his was indeed a sad case. He was taken to the hospital at Cherokee about a year ago in the hope that he might be better cared for.
