BRAKEMAN INJURED LAST JULY PASSES AWAY LAST NIGHT
Walter W. Sutton Dies at Peru of Injuries He Sustained When Crushed Between Cars.
Ending a struggle for his life which he had kept up for four months, Walter W. Sutton, 36, of Peru brakeman on the Wabash railroad, passed away Tuesday night at 10:05 o'clock, of Injuries received July 30 when he was crushed between two freight cars in the local Wabash yards. Death came to him at his home, where he was removed a few days previously from the Wabash railroad hospital at Peru. Mr. Sutton was a patient at the local county hospital for several weeks after being injured, and when dismissed from the local institution went to the Wabash hospital. His left side was badly crushed.
Surviving: are the wife; four children, Robert. Harriet, Ella, Catherine, and Gene; the father, William Sutton. of New Waverly; three sisters, Mrs. Lee Skinner and Mrs. Hugh Drlnkwater of Logansport and Mrs. Sam Hopkins, of Pern: and a brother, Elmer Sutton.
Funeral services are to be held at the home. 105 West Eighth street Peru at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning. Burial is to be made in the Pern cemetery.
