The family announces with sadness her passing at Pioneer Manor at the age of 90. Daughter of the late Adrien and Pomela Joliat (Mainville). She was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Robert Bruno Labine, in 1983. They had been married 39 years. Beloved mother of Jyceline (Christopher Anstead) of MacDonald's Corners; André (Susan White) of Fernie, British Columbia; Claude of Edmonton, Alberta; Carmen of Azilda; Lise (Paul Brisson) of Azilda, Johanne (Guy Leclair) of Aylmer, Québec and Guy (Michelle Tonner) of Azilda. She leaves her grandchildren, Joel Dazé (Laura Ferro), Mélanie Wrigglesworth (Michael), Robie (Melissa Baceda), François Dugal (Karen Soper), Sébastien Labine-Leclair, Stéphane and step-grandchildren, Bennett and André. She also leaves 7 great-grandchildren (Lucy, Oscar, Libby, Matteo, Rylen, Adrien and William). Beloved sister of Claire Blais (late Omer), Jean-Jacques (Florence) and Marcel (late Hélène)(Cécile). Predeceased by her brothers, Gérard (Rolande), Roger (Rollande), Richard (Connie) and her sisters, Réjeanne Portelance (late Claude) and Anne-Marie Miron (late Jean-Paul). Loving sister-in-law of Lorraine, Thérèse (late Howie Shaver), Madeleine (late Raymond) and Lucille (late Bernard). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was an active and engaged woman in her community, involved in her church and in several community groups. After raising her family, she worked for many years at the Azilda Post Office and was always willing to help out those in need. For years, she volunteered three times a week at "La maison d'Amitié" Food Bank initiative in Chelmsford. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Ste-Agnès Parish in Azilda, the choir and several committees including the baptism committee. She was a member of "Les Colombiettes" and a member of the Golden Age Club in Azilda as well as a member of "La Fédération des femmes canadiennes françaises". She enjoyed friends and family, travelling, dancing, sewing, gardening, music, the family camp on Ministic Lake, as well as politics. She and her late husband had enjoyed the lifelong company and friendship of the "Lake Penage Gang". Having been intent on living independently in her own home, she had been a resident in the last fourteen months at the Pioneer Manor. She also leaves to mourn her long-time friend of more than 70 years, Lillian Wahamaa, as well as a special family friend, Norm Byrnes. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Pioneer Manor and in particular personal service workers, Joanne and Veronika who cared for her as well as Sylvie, RPN. The family will receive friends and family at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691, R.R.15 Chelmsford, Ontario, Thursday, August 1st, 2013 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at Ste-Agnès Church, Azilda, Ontario.
