Obituary Excerpts - Frankfort Morning Times, Saturday August 21, 1926

Susan Emily Biery, widow of Owen Biery, who died at the Soldiers' home hospital in Lafayette Thursday morning of cancer of the liver. Mrs. Biery was the daughter of John and Hannah Bolyard and was born in Hamilton Co., Ohio, January 14, 1847. On July 25, 1863 she was united in marriage to Owen Biery and to the union one son John, was born. Both husband and son preceded Mrs. Biery in death about 10 years ago. She had resided at the Soldier's Home since June 17, 1915. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Dayton and also the Pythian Sisters Lodge. Surviving are two brothers, John and Joseph Bolyard of Mulberry; five grandson, Thomas, Ralph, Miles, Paul, and Kenneth Biery, of Dayton; and two granddaughters, Mrs. Harold Moore, of Rossville, and Mrs. Norman Carlson, of Chicago.
