Harry E. Hall, age 76, of Hartwell, GA formerly of Spruce Pine went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA.
Born on June 24, 1944 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Howard and Connie McKinney Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; William, Jack, James, and Sidney Hall and his sisters; Margaret Robinson and Mary Lou Howell.
Harry was retired from the U.S. Army at the rank of CW3. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartwell, GA and was a former member of the Berry Chapel Baptist Church in Spruce Pine.
He loved spending time with all of his family and especially his children and grandchildren. In his retirement his primary role in their lives was to be the best grandfather possible by teaching them how to have fun and learn to love and enjoy their life even when it is hard. He enjoyed telling stories of his childhood and his love of his mountain heritage. He was known as a great story teller and sharing his family memories. Most importantly to Harry was his relationship with the Lord and left a legacy of love. In his spare time, he also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Jann W. Hall of Hartwell, GA; his son; Eric Hall and wife, Jennifer of McDonough, GA; his daughter; Angela Scheller and husband, Andre of Lake Oconee, GA, his blended family that felt as though they were his own; Tammy Scruggs and husband, Steve of Lakeland, FL, and Kacy Mayew and husband, Curtis of Melbourne, FL; his grandchildren; Lauren, Jenna, Charlee, Taylor, Hannah, Tucker, Braden, and Max; his great grandchildren; Ellie and Ava; his sisters; Kathleen Allen of Spruce Pine and Martha Williams and husband, Eddie of Spruce Pie; his brother; J. Wayne Hall and wife, Wilma of Spruce Pine; special friend, Robert Bailey of Spruce Pine; several nieces and nephews.
A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Berry Chapel Baptist Church.
