Mr Joseph 'Joe RS Belk Sr 74 of Charlotte passed away October 10 1999 A graveside service will be 1 PM Wednesday October 13 1999 at Sharon Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Chuck Klotz-berger The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 PM at McEwen Funeral Service Derita Chapel Mr Joseph Belk Sr was born March 6 1925 son of the late Blair and Josie Sherrill Belk He owned and operated Joe Belk and Associates for 33 years and was a master carpenter Mr Joseph Belk Sr was preceded in death by one son Joseph Belk Jr Survivors include Alice Belk one son Audie Belk daughter Merri Joe Belk all of Charlotte one sister Dolly Cox of Clover SC one brother Howard Belk of Fontana CA four grandchildren Frank Belk of Huntersville NC Nicholas Johnson Noel Belk and AJ Belk all of Charlotte In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Hospice of Presbyterian in co Presbyterian Hospital 200 Hawthorne Ln Charlotte NC 28204 McEwen Funeral Service Derita Chapel is in charge of arrangement
