On Monday, May 3d, 188O, at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. O. W. Rowland, near Charlestown, Mrs. MARY R. BOYD, formerly of Martinsburg, widow of the late Benjamin R. Boyd, and sister of Capt. James W. Glenn - aged about 54 years

The remains of Mrs. Benjamin Boyd, formerly of this place, were brought here on Wednesday, from Charlestown, and interred in Greenhill Cemetery, Father Daugherty officiating at the grave. Among others accompanying the remains was the celebrated Belle Boyd, daughter of the deceased. It was her first visit for years to the scenes of her
childhood and of the daring exploits of her girlhood during the war. The circumstances of her visit were extremely sad.
