George Anderson Carwile, 77, died at his residence near Winona, April 18. Services were conducted at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Monday afternoon, April 19, at 3:30 o'clock, by the Rev. J. A. Wade of Slate Springs, assisted by Rev. E. H. Pevey. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Locke, Louis Felts, Arnold Herring, Rayford Patterson, G. W. Suggett and Dock Hobson.
Mr. Carwile was born in Carroll County September 12, 1876, and was married to the former Mrs. Frankie Carter who survives. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. J.W. Fisackerly and Mrs. A.L. Bamberg of Winona, and Mrs. Hayden Herring, Kilmichael; one son, Frank Carwile, Winona; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
