Beatrice Ruegg, 89, passed away peacefully on June 10, at the Village of St. Edward in Fairlawn.

Born in Payson, Utah on August 13, 1924, she had been an Akron resident since 1956. Bea was a longtime faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Akron.

Bea was preceded in death by her husband, George in 2003; children, Richard, Dale, and Patricia Ann; grandson, Eric Ruegg; and son-in-law, Dave Zak. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Zak; and her sons, Michael (Coletta), Dennis, Donald (Linda), David (Cheryl), Martin (Jeanne), and Mark (Julie); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 10 a.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. in Akron. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to KIVA at www.kiva.org or to Harbor Light Hospice, 25 S. Main St., Munroe Falls, OH 44262.
