Alice was born in Schenectady, NY to Ada (nee Cialone) and Carmine Mariani and had one brother Remo who was predeceased. She met and married her dear late husband Peter Stefanchik and raised their family in Middlesex, NJ. A devoted homemaker, her family was everything to her. Alice spent her later years dancing and traveling with her beloved companion of over 20 years James Olsen of Metuchen, NJ.
An avid ballroom and line dancer, Alice taught line dancing at the Berkeley Heights Senior group. She was also a dedicated line dancer and active member of the Tri-County Swinging Seniors in Piscataway, NJ. She loved big band swing music, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, and in later years, country western music. Every day she filled her schedule with exercise classes, dance activities, socializing, cooking, and planning her next family, social or travel event. She was always stylishly dressed and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Alice is survived by her cherished children, Randy (wife Maryann) Stefanchik, David Stefanchik, Doreen (husband Ryan) Clark; her grandchildren, Lisa (husband Michael) Castle and Lauren (husband Kevin) Nervi, Ryan Stefanchik and Zachary Amatelli; and her great-grandchildren, Nathan Castle, Cole Castle, Finnegan Nervi and Savannah Nervi. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter Stefanchik and devoted companion James Olsen.
