"Mrs. Minnie B. Cleveland passed away at her home in Wheeling [sic], at 12:40 p.m. Monday. She had been ill for the past four years and confined to her bed for the past month.

She was born in Mercer County, Mo., Feb. 27, 1868, a daughter of George and Serilda Scott. She was united in marriage to Alex Cleveland in 1890. They made their home in Bedford, Mo., until the death of Mr. Cleveland in 1943, when she moved to Wheeling. She became a member of the Wheeling Methodist Church in 1946.

A son, John Cleveland, died in Camp Carnie, Calif., during World War I. Three other children are deceased. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Rose Walby of Wheeling; two brothers, John Scott and Seth Scott, both of Wheeling; five nieces and five nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the chapel of the Gordon Home for Funerals conducted by Rev. H. F. Johnston, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Wheeling Cemetery." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, February 4, 1947
