Daisy Creech Rowland, 91, beloved wife of the late Charles Henry "Buddy" Rowland, Jr., entered into rest on April 21, 2021.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Daisy was born in Duplin County, Warsaw, NC. She met and married the love of her life Charles Henry "Buddy" Rowland, Jr. on September 9, 1947. Daisy was a graduate of Warsaw High School in North Carolina and went on to receive her LPN licensure at the LPN School of Georgia. She worked for Dr. Donald R. McRae for 23 years until he closed his practice. Daisy then went to work for Dr. David Cundy for 8 years and then worked another 23 years for Cardiology Associates of Augusta, GA. She had a passion for nursing and was always willing to give medical care and advice to family and friends.
Daisy enjoyed yardwork, especially working with flowers, and would deliver arrangements to people who were hospitalized or homebound. She was an avid reader and master at working crossword puzzles. Daisy was a true patriot and loved to watch Fox News Network and had been known to voice her staunch opinion on social media a time or two, which would land her in "Facebook Jail". She could rival any teenager on how to work on an iPhone! Always willing to lend an ear to family and friends in need. Daisy was an active member of Curtis Baptist Church and also at her former church, Crawford Avenue Baptist while she resided in Augusta, GA.
Daisy was once asked who was the greatest influence in her life and she said it was her great aunt Daisy, whom she was named after, for she saw to it that she and her siblings went to church each Sunday and learned about God and His love for each and every one of us.
Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry "Buddy" Rowland, Jr.; daughter, Peggy Rowland Rolison; father, Joshua E. Creech; mother, Gladys Guy Creech; and brothers, Oscar Lee Creech, William P. Creech, Robert E. Creech and James A. Creech.
Daisy is survived by her son, Charles Henry "Buddy" Rowland, III (Bonnie) of Powder Springs, GA, formerly of Evans, GA; grandson, William Scott Rolison (Nikki) of Columbus, GA; granddaughters, Kristi Rolison Anthony (Mark) of Mauk, GA, Alison Rowland Prosnak (Mike) of Grovetown, GA, Jamie Rowland Stokes (Jeff) of Powder Springs, GA; great grandchildren, Blake and Brooke Rolison, Kamryn and Kolby Anthony, Blake and Tyler Prosnak, Henry and Hallie Stokes; brothers, Rev. John B. Creech (Nancy) of Smyrna, GA and Edward "Mickey" Creech (Wilda) of DiBerville, MS and numerous nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved also.
