Doris M. (McGrail) Roop, 84 years, of Zoar Dr., Perrysburg, and formerly of Reo Street, Toledo, died Wednesday, August 23 in Heartland of Perrysburg. Mrs. Roop was born on July 5, 1911 in Toledo to Mr. and Mrs. Chester (Pearl Temple) Bastian. She married Frances A. McGrail and he preceded her in death. She then married Ernest Roop and he also preceded her in death in 1967. Doris was a seamstresss for the former Abbe Casket Company for 22 years, she then was a clerk for Hickory Farms for seven years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her son, Thomas E. (Judith) McGrail of Perrysburg; daughter, Mrs. Marilyn S. (William) Batson of Carolina Beach, NC: grandchildren, Michael T. (Minday) and Scott P. (Anne) McGrail, Mrs. Tammy L. (Lenny) D'Lugin and Mrs. Tina L. (Pete) Marksteiner; great-grandchildren, David L. Nester, Jonathan W. Marksteiner and Alyssa D'Lugin; sister, Mrs. Verna Simmons; and special friends, Lucille Knaggs, Martha Koperski, Angie Ortiz and June Coy.
Friends will be received in the Neville Funeral Home Reynolds Corners Chapel, 5052 Dorr Street near Reynolds Road (535-0951) after 6 p.m. Friday, August 25, where Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 26 with Pastor Larry J.
