Mercedes Hernandez Holgado, 89, of 1002 Cogswell Ave., Solvay, died today in Community-General Hospital. She was born in Spain and lived in Solvay for 48 years.
Mrs. Holgado was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church of Solvay.
Surviving are two daughters, Maria Demperio of Solvay and Angela Losurdo of Aurora; two sons, Manuel Holgado of Mattydale and Joseph of Camillus; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews in Spain.
Services will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. at Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home, Solvay, and at 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church. Burial will be in
Assumption Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
