Andrew James Ball, 91, of Travelers Rest, S.C., passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007. Mr. Ball was born Dec. 31, 1915 in Madison County to the late Luther and Sallie Wilds Ball. He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church in Waynesville and a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII.
In addition to his parents Mr. Ball was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl E. Ball; son-in-laws, Jack Davis and Joseph Nay; sister; Dolly Buckner; and brother, Earnest Ball.
He is survived by four daughters, 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren and a brother.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Oct. 7, at Bowman-Rector Cemetery with the Rev. John Parker officiating.
