Dollie Ball Buckner, 84, of Love Street, died Sunday morning at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Buckner was a homemaker and the widow of the late Frank Buckner.

She was a daughter of the late Luther and Sally Ball.

Mrs. Buckner was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Her family noted that she was a "loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and mother-in-law."

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Anna Laughlin, with whom she made her home, and Juanita and Stanley Hensley; a granddaughter: Maria Waddell, whom she raised, and her husband, Rick Waddell; two grandsons: Todd Laughlin and N. L. "Tiger" Buckner Jr.; three great-grandsons: Lance Laws, Aaron Buckner, and Cody Buckner; a great-great-granddaughter: Harley Ann Laws, who was "very special" to her, the family stated; three brothers: Frank Ball of Asheville, N.C., Andrew Ball of South Carolina, and Earnest Ball of Marshall, N.C.; six sisters-in-law: Merle Ball of Asheville, Susie Brown of Marshall, Nancy Harris of Asheville, Elizabeth Shelton of DeKalb, Ill., and Ada Barham and Lelua Buckner, both of Greeneville; a brother-in-law: David Barham of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Calvary Baptist Church with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
The Rev. Wayland Fillers and the Rev. Rocky Johnson will officiate.

The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be her nephews: Wendell Waddell, Phillip Waddell, Herbert Waddell, David Wayne Barham, Ben Ball, Jack Crowe, Jim Harris, Johnny Henderson, and Kenneth Brown.
