DeVoe Emma Alice, 21, of 2126 Thompson Ave., died Saturday night at St. Joseph's Hospital after a week's illness. She was born in LaOtto and has lived in Fort Wayne one year. She was a member of the Wayne Center M. E. Church near Kendallville. She is survived by her husband, Lewis DeVoe; her week-old daughter, Anna Louise; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lesta Simon of Avilla; four brothers, Walter Simon of Kendallville, Argyl and Dr. Clifford Simon of Fort Wayne, and Donald Simon of Huntertown; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Whonsetler of Avilla. Funeral will be this morning at the home of a brother, Dr. Clifford Simon of 802 W. Wayne St. and at 2 o'clock at Kendallville, with burial there.
